Major Review of CDM 2007

Under a major review of CDM 2007 the HSE are proposing several significant amendments.  These are expected to come in during October 2014 and are as follows:

  • The removal of Regulation 4 relating to competence.
  • The removal of the ACoP (Approved Code of Practice).
  • The introduction of CDMC duties for all projects with more than one contractor.  Domestic and Commercial.  The CDMC duties will be undertaken from within the duty holders.
  • The replacement of CDMC duties for Design with a new term ‘Project Preparation Manager’ for the construction phase.
